Simple Definition of Sexy

adjective \ˈsek-sē\

: sexually appealing, attractive, or exciting
: having interesting or appealing qualities

The mere definitions of this term according to Merriam-Webster implies a very subjective concept, don't you think? Like, 'appealing to whom'? 'exciting to whom'?....According to yourself, your friends, significant others? See my point? I think for us to have a sexy attitude towards ourselves, it's important to be 'sexy in the moment', and only then can we project a sense of that word onto the people around us.....Let me explain....Sexy is a state of mind...it is the manner in which you carry yourself which begins on the inside.

A person that is 'sexy' and knows it feels it from the inside out. If you feel sexy inside, you will be sexy whether you are wearing a short cut cocktail dress or a pair of sweat pants and an oversized t shirt. The aura around you will be sexy if you exude confidence, knowledge and self assurance becuase that sexy attitude will be projected all around you. The problem happens when you base a sexy attitude on some external factor such as 'the right clothes', 'a successful job', 'the perfect hair', you get the picture....But you have the power to decide if you will let those external factors rule your sexy mindset.

You can certainly search outside of yourself for exciting stimuli, inspiration and wonder, but it is from seeking within that grants these external components meaning and power. As long as you are mindful of that control and where the energy is directed, you will have a happy balance of self image and self acceptance. Be kind to yourself as a whole and the rest should follow. Eliminating the negative mantras such as: I'm too old, My ____ is too big, If I could only look like ______ will help begin the healing process from within.

Being sexy is a constant state of 'owning yourself'...you have to think and actually believe in yourself for this to work. It's not enough to question whether or not you are confident enough to own a situation. You can't say "I own this??"....and expect to feel and act confident in your skin. You have to say and actually feel "I OWN THIS!!!"...and you will own every aspect of yourself at every given moment. Practice it often. You just may surprise yourself!!!
